City : Paris
Where : Porte de Sève (south end, near convention center)
Website : www.sofitel.com

Short version: It’s a Sofitel. By definition this means stylish, slick and expensive chairs in the lobby. No exception here… notably the 2 dozen Ligne Roset “Neo” chairs that are a couple thousand $ each.

Short version bad: Was treated rudely. I mean, more than just “I’m having a bad day” rude, but rather, “I’m going out of my way to not be pleasant with you”. Some I told have chalked this up to general Parisian-rudeness, but I disagree. This is Sofitel, they should be above that. My feeling is that my attire was not up to snuff. Honestly, it wasn’t… I do not travel in Zegna suits or cashmere pulls. On the second day with the same attitude, realized it was not worth the cost. Changed to a different hotel at half the cost, who greeted me warmly every day by name.

Long version: Not likely. Tried to find the link to this website, but oddly I cannot seem to find it on the Sofitel website. Perhaps they sold it off.
